Randy Chung, MD is a board-certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants (TDDC), serving patients at two convenient locations in Kingwood and Fall Creek (Humble).

Dr. Chung is a Houston native who graduated summa cum laude from Rice University. He earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then returned to UT Southwestern Medical Center for a rigorous three-year fellowship in Digestive and Liver Diseases, where he had the honor of serving as Chief GI Fellow during his final year of training.

Dr. Chung specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease. He also specializes in liver diseases such as hepatitis and fatty liver disease. He is deeply committed to colorectal cancer prevention and screening and has performed thousands of endoscopic procedures—including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and small bowel enteroscopy—with an excellent safety record.
Drawn to gastroenterology for its unique ability to care for both healthy and chronically ill patients, Dr. Chung values the opportunity to improve lives through preventive care and minimally invasive procedures. He is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care while utilizing the latest medical advances and technologies. In recognition of his work, he was named a Houstonia “Top Doctor” in 2022.

Dr. Chung is fluent in English and Cantonese. Outside of medicine, he enjoys pickleball, traveling, hiking, cooking, wine tasting, watching soccer and Formula 1, and spending time with his wife, son, family, and friends.
